Minnesotans can now get a ride home after a pool equipment worker died in a car crash in St. Paul, according to authorities.

St. Paul police said Friday they received a report of a car accident near the intersection of South St. James Avenue and North Second Street, about 7 p.m.

Monday.

Police said the vehicle’s driver was not injured.

A St. Anthony Fire Department helicopter was used to rescue the man and taken to a hospital.

Minneapolis fire officials said they are investigating the cause of the crash.

A representative for the Minnesota Department of Transportation, which owns the facility, said it is cooperating with the investigation.
