A Brooklyn man was shot twice in the back on Tuesday, and police are questioning the officers who shot him.

The man was sitting in a parked car in the 6500 block of Broadway at around 8 p.m. when he heard a gunshot, NYPD Officer Kevin Haggerty told The Associated Press on Tuesday.

Haggerty said he thought it was a noise, but his eyes and ears could tell the sound was not from an ordinary gunshot.

He said the officer saw a man in the street and shot him in the stomach.

Haggty said the officers are not looking for any suspects, but will be interviewing witnesses.

No one was injured in the incident.
