A new technology company says it’s offering to rent climbing equipment for the new Greenway.
The company, NEMO Equipment, says it has a fleet of 20 rental equipment for $20 a day, or $80 a week.
The rental program is just one of the many options available for the city’s growing climbing community. “
The only thing that is going to make it possible is the right gear.”

The Greenway has been on the chopping block for years, with the city planning to sell it to developers who want to build a new golf course, hotel and hotel tower.
A public hearing is scheduled for Monday to decide whether to sell the park to the city.
For now, the city is offering a handful of climbing options to the public.
They include rope-climbering, a class that’s not permitted on the Greenways trails.
The city says it will be testing a new class called “slingshot” that involves a rope-hanging class.
